Manybooks.net Adds QR Codes

Manybooks.net QR Codes

This is for people reading on mobile phones. Go to the website for more information and links.

A QR code is a two-dimensional bar code that works as a convenient way to “tag” content for mobile phone users. I’ve added these to the site so that folks browsing from their computer can quickly open the relevant page on their QR code-enabled cellphones.

Android phones can install a barcode reader app that understands QR codes, and iPhones have many applications to choose from (Barcodes [iTunes] is free and works well, QRCode is free and is much faster). Nokia users can install a free application from UpCode.

Libertary – Site Providing Free Online Reading

Libertary: Freedom Of The Book

This looks to be a fairly new site because their collection is still small. They have fiction and non-fiction books, so far most are non-fiction. You can read online for free or purchase a hard copy, these are the only options. Each book has a dedicated forum in case you want to discuss it with others. There are ads on the side of each page, but not a whole lot.

File type: online html.
